Tommy G. Thompson, Director

The Honorable Tommy G. Thompson, Director and former Secretary of Health and Human Services and Governor of the State of Wisconsin, served as Chairman of the Governor’s Ethanol Coalition and led two trade missions to Brazil. Secretary Thompson has connections all over the world and has exceptional contacts within United States government and industries.

Jeffery P. Knight, Director

Director Jeffery Knight served as Governor Thompson’s representative to the United States thirty-eight State Governors' Ethanol Coalition and led the effort to create the six nation International Ethanol Alliance. Mr. Knight worked with General Motors to bring the first flexible fuel E-85 vehicle to the world market. He additionally hosted over 13 international conferences and seminars on ethanol in seven nations.

Thomas Weickardt, Director

Director Thomas Weickardt, has significant credentials in starting and managing successful companies. Mr. Weickardt currently serves Chairman of the Board, Electronic Systems Protection, Inc. (ESP), a world leader in electronic surge protection. Prior to that, Mr. Weickardt served as President of ESP holding a leadership roll in the market and currently maintains 90% of the market for their product. Mr. Weickardt brings his keen business background to the group in sales, marketing, management and business creation.

Luiz Carlos Corrêa Carvalho, Director

Director Luiz Carlos Corrêa Carvalho, is a world leader in both sugar and alcohol industry. Mr. Carvalho has served as the Brazilian representative to the Governor’s Ethanol Coalition International Alliance. In addition, he serves as the General Coordinator of the Chamber for Sugar and Ethanol Production on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture. He has developed relationships through out the world and has access to many world leaders where he is regarded as an expert in his field.

Walter Frohboese, Jr., Senior Advisor

W.E (Nick) Frohboese, acting as senior advisor to Global Renewable, will be active in the planning, construction, training and start-up phases of the Sharon, WI project. Mr. Frohboese has extensive experience in building and operating ethanol facilities and is currently a Project Manager for GHL Industries, LLC. Formerly he was President of Milwaukee Solvents, Inc., where he was in charge of the design, construction and operation of an ethanol plant in Minnesota.
